Very professional and effective massage, can really tell Christian is very experienced and understands exactly where to apply pressure and for how long. One of the best massage experiences I’ve had and I’m feeling fantastic after it. Highly recommend Christian!

We needed a sports injury specialist at short notice whilst on holiday in Paphos. I messaged in the morning and he came to our villa same day with all the equipment, bed etc and did an excellent job. Great service, paid via Apple Pay too, even easier!

I had a 90 minute massage from Christian, and it was absolutely amazing. We really dug deep resolving many muscle knots that has been with me for a long time. If you’re in Paphos and want a massage, I highly recommend!

Knowledgeable and professional. You can tell immediately that he has real expertise — precise technique, great pressure, and he focuses on the areas that actually need work. Left feeling genuinely better. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with Christian. I chose the deep tissue sports massage and it was fantastic—just be patient, as the full results are felt a few days later. It is 100% worth it, especially if you have back issues.

Why this treatment

Why clients in Paphos book deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage is what most people in Paphos book me for, and what most sessions turn out to be. It is firm, slow, hands-on work through the deeper layers of muscle and the fascia around them — forearms, thumbs and elbows, at a pressure matched to what you can breathe through rather than what you can endure. Depth is not the point in itself: a short assessment first tells me which structure is actually holding the problem, so the hour goes on the two or three places that will change something instead of a full-body tour. It suits backs that seize after a long drive, shoulders that ache whatever the pillow, hips that will not open, and the neck and jaw tension that builds across a working week. I am based in Chlorakas and bring the table to homes across the Paphos district.

What clients come to me with

  • A lower back that tightens after a long drive or a day in the garden.
  • One shoulder that has ached for months whatever the pillow or the chair.
  • Hips and hamstrings that stretching never seems to loosen.
  • A neck and jaw that stiffen by Thursday every working week.
  • Calves and feet that have taken a summer of standing up at work.

Who this is for

Is deep tissue massage right for you?

  • Anyone carrying tension that a lighter, spa-style massage does not touch.
  • Desk workers, drivers and tradespeople whose backs and shoulders stiffen week on week.
  • Active people who want firm work without a sport-specific programme.
  • First-time clients unsure what to book — this is the default, and I adjust from there.

The session

What happens in a deep tissue massage session at your home

  1. A short assessment first — where it hurts, what makes it worse, how you move — so the session targets the cause rather than the sore spot.

  2. Firm, progressive hands-on work through the deeper layers — forearms and elbows for the broad areas, thumbs and fingers for the specific ones — building depth as the tissue allows rather than starting there.

  3. Pressure stays at a level you can breathe through, and I check in as it changes. You can stop or ease the pressure at any point.

  4. We finish with movement to confirm the change held, then simple homework to keep the change between sessions: usually one or two movements, not a programme.

Typical course

Many people feel the difference after one session. Tension built over years usually takes 2–3 sessions a fortnight apart, then one every 4–6 weeks to hold it.

Before you book

Deep tissue massage: what it is, and when not to book one

This is clinical treatment, not a spa or adult service.

  • You stay covered except for the area being worked on, and you undress only to your own comfort.
  • You are welcome to have a partner, friend or family member present — many clients do.
  • Fresh linens for every client, the table is sanitised between sessions, and hands are washed on arrival.
  • The session starts with a short assessment and you can stop or adjust the pressure at any point.

When not to book

  • Fever, infection or feeling unwell — reschedule.
  • Recent surgery, fracture or an acute injury under 72 hours old — see a doctor first.
  • Blood-thinning medication or a clotting disorder — tell me before we start; pressure is adjusted.
  • Unexplained, severe or worsening pain, numbness or weakness — that is a doctor first, massage second.

If in doubt, message me first — I would rather say no than treat something that needs a doctor.

Questions

Deep tissue massage in Paphos: common questions

Is deep tissue the same as a hard massage?
No. Hard is a setting; deep is a target. The depth is built gradually and aimed at the structure holding the problem, which usually means firm work in two or three places and lighter work everywhere else. A massage that leaves you sore for a week has generally been fighting the tissue rather than changing it.
What should I book if I do not know what I need?
This one. Deep tissue is the general-purpose session: tell me what hurts at the start and I take it wherever the assessment points, including into trigger point or myofascial work if that is what the tissue asks for. Every treatment is the same price, so nothing is lost by starting here.
Will I be sore afterwards?
Often a little, for a day or two, in the way a good training session leaves you aware of a muscle. Drink water, move normally and keep training light for 24 hours. Sharp or worsening pain is not part of it — tell me if you feel any.
Do you use oil, and what do I wear?
A light unscented oil on the areas being worked. You undress to your own comfort and stay covered by a towel or sheet throughout, with only the area being treated uncovered.
