Very professional and effective massage, can really tell Christian is very experienced and understands exactly where to apply pressure and for how long. One of the best massage experiences I’ve had and I’m feeling fantastic after it. Highly recommend Christian!

We needed a sports injury specialist at short notice whilst on holiday in Paphos. I messaged in the morning and he came to our villa same day with all the equipment, bed etc and did an excellent job. Great service, paid via Apple Pay too, even easier!

I had a 90 minute massage from Christian, and it was absolutely amazing. We really dug deep resolving many muscle knots that has been with me for a long time. If you’re in Paphos and want a massage, I highly recommend!

Knowledgeable and professional. You can tell immediately that he has real expertise — precise technique, great pressure, and he focuses on the areas that actually need work. Left feeling genuinely better. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience with the massage therapy in Paphos. The deep tissue treatment was both relaxing and healing, and I left with noticeably less pain. Professional, calming, and highly effective — I truly recommend it to anyone looking for quality massage therapy in Paphos.

Christian gave an absolutely fantastic massage and would recommend 10/10 to anyone who is looking for a well priced and talented masseuse.

I had a great experience with Christian. I chose the deep tissue sports massage and it was fantastic—just be patient, as the full results are felt a few days later. It is 100% worth it, especially if you have back issues.

Why this treatment

Why clients in Paphos book sports massage

Sports massage in Paphos has a longer season than most places: the cycling and triathlon camps arrive in October, the golfers play right through the winter, and the residents who run the coastal path do it all year. Athletic massage is organised around training rather than around a menu. I start with what you are training for and when, then work the tissues your sport loads most — hip flexors and quads for cyclists, calves and hamstrings for runners, the lead-side hip and mid-back for golfers — using hands and, where the tissue is dense enough to need it, the mechanical device. Pre-event sessions are lighter and faster; maintenance and post-event sessions go deeper and slower. The aim is plain: keep you training, and get you back to it sooner when something tightens. A typical booking is a cyclist on a Coral Bay training camp between two long days in the Akamas, or a Tala golfer whose lower back argues with the third round of the week. I am based in Chlorakas and cover the Paphos district with the table.

What clients come to me with

  • A calf that cramps at the same point on every long run.
  • Hip flexors so short after a week of climbing that the lower back complains on the bike.
  • A shoulder that has stopped rotating freely on the swing or the swim.
  • Legs that still feel heavy three days after a hard session.
  • A niggle that is not an injury yet but is changing how you train.

Who this is for

Is sports massage right for you?

  • Runners, cyclists, triathletes and swimmers training in Paphos, resident or on camp.
  • Gym athletes and CrossFitters with recurring tightness that limits lifts.
  • Golfers, tennis and padel players with sport-specific overuse.
  • Anyone whose training volume outruns their recovery.

The session

What happens in a sports massage session at your home

  1. A short assessment first — where it hurts, what makes it worse, how you move — so the session targets the cause rather than the sore spot. For athletes that includes what you are training for and when.

  2. Work is directed at the tissues your sport loads most — for cyclists hip flexors, quads and the upper back; for runners calves, hamstrings and glutes — using hands and the mechanical device as needed.

  3. Pre-event sessions are lighter and faster; post-event and maintenance sessions go deeper. You can stop or ease the pressure at any point.

  4. You leave with a couple of targeted mobility drills for the week.

Typical course

In a training block, every 2–3 weeks keeps most athletes ahead of problems. Before a race: 2–4 days out, lighter. After: 24–72 hours later.

Before you book

Sports massage: what it is, and when not to book one

This is clinical treatment, not a spa or adult service.

  • You stay covered except for the area being worked on, and you undress only to your own comfort.
  • You are welcome to have a partner, friend or family member present — many clients do.
  • Fresh linens for every client, the table is sanitised between sessions, and hands are washed on arrival.
  • The session starts with a short assessment and you can stop or adjust the pressure at any point.

When not to book

  • Fever, infection or feeling unwell — reschedule.
  • Recent surgery, fracture or an acute injury under 72 hours old — see a doctor first.
  • Blood-thinning medication or a clotting disorder — tell me before we start; pressure is adjusted.
  • Unexplained, severe or worsening pain, numbness or weakness — that is a doctor first, massage second.

If in doubt, message me first — I would rather say no than treat something that needs a doctor.

Questions

Sports massage in Paphos: common questions

When should I book around a race or event?
A lighter session 2–4 days before, and a recovery session 24–72 hours after. Avoid deep work the day before an event.
Do you treat visiting athletes on training camps?
Yes — I come to your hotel or villa. Group and camp bookings can be arranged; message me with dates and numbers.
Is sports massage only for serious athletes?
No. If you train regularly and something keeps tightening or nagging, sports massage is the right tool regardless of your level.
How does it differ from mechanical deep tissue?
Sports massage is organised around your training: timing, the tissues your sport loads, and getting you back to training. Mechanical deep tissue is the deeper, slower tool for long-standing restriction; the two are often combined.
