Very professional and effective massage, can really tell Christian is very experienced and understands exactly where to apply pressure and for how long. One of the best massage experiences I’ve had and I’m feeling fantastic after it. Highly recommend Christian!

We needed a sports injury specialist at short notice whilst on holiday in Paphos. I messaged in the morning and he came to our villa same day with all the equipment, bed etc and did an excellent job. Great service, paid via Apple Pay too, even easier!

I had a 90 minute massage from Christian, and it was absolutely amazing. We really dug deep resolving many muscle knots that has been with me for a long time. If you’re in Paphos and want a massage, I highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience with the massage therapy in Paphos. The deep tissue treatment was both relaxing and healing, and I left with noticeably less pain. Professional, calming, and highly effective — I truly recommend it to anyone looking for quality massage therapy in Paphos.

I had a great experience with Christian. I chose the deep tissue sports massage and it was fantastic—just be patient, as the full results are felt a few days later. It is 100% worth it, especially if you have back issues.

Why this treatment

Why clients in Paphos book trigger point therapy

Trigger point therapy in Paphos deals with the knots that hurt somewhere other than where they sit. A trigger point is a tight, irritable band inside a muscle; press it and it reproduces a familiar pain at a distance — a headache behind the eye from the upper trapezius, an ache down the arm from under the shoulder blade, hip pain from the glutes. Knot release done properly starts by mapping where the pain refers from rather than where you feel it. Each active point is held under precise, sustained pressure until it lets go, then the muscle is lengthened so the point does not simply reform. The mechanical device is used where a knot sits too deep for fingertips to hold. It suits tension headaches, arm and hip pain that scans have not explained, and the desk and driving posture that builds the same knots every week. A typical client is a Kato Paphos office worker with a headache that starts in the neck most afternoons. I am based in Chlorakas and treat at home across the Paphos district.

What clients come to me with

  • A headache that starts at the base of the skull and settles behind one eye.
  • A dull ache down the arm that has already been checked and is not the nerve.
  • A knot under the shoulder blade that no amount of leaning on a doorframe reaches.
  • Jaw and temple tightness after stressful weeks.
  • Hip or buttock pain on the driving side after long stretches on the motorway.

Who this is for

Is trigger point therapy right for you?

  • Tension headaches that start in the neck or shoulders.
  • Pain that shows up somewhere other than the knot — arm, hip, jaw.
  • A specific spot you keep pressing yourself.
  • Desk and driving posture that builds the same knots every week.

The session

What happens in a trigger point therapy session at your home

  1. A short assessment first — where it hurts, what makes it worse, how you move — so the session targets the cause rather than the sore spot. We map where the pain refers from, not just where you feel it.

  2. Each active trigger point is held under sustained, precise pressure until it releases, then the muscle is lengthened.

  3. The mechanical device is used where a knot sits too deep for fingertips to hold. You can stop or ease the pressure at any point.

  4. You get the two or three self-release positions that matter for your pattern.

Typical course

Often 2–3 sessions to clear a pattern, then occasional top-ups. Headache patterns tend to respond fastest.

What I bring:
A professional treatment table, fresh linens and oils — and the deep-tissue device when a session calls for it. You provide nothing but a bit of floor space.
What you need:
About 2 × 2 metres of clear floor; set-up takes around 10 minutes.

Travel included in Paphos, Kato Paphos, Chlorakas, Coral Bay, Tala, Tsada, Geroskipou, Kissonerga, Pegeia, Emba and Konia — and everywhere else in the Paphos district, travel included. Before you book

Trigger point therapy: what it is, and when not to book one

This is clinical treatment, not a spa or adult service.

  • You stay covered except for the area being worked on, and you undress only to your own comfort.
  • You are welcome to have a partner, friend or family member present — many clients do.
  • Fresh linens for every client, the table is sanitised between sessions, and hands are washed on arrival.
  • The session starts with a short assessment and you can stop or adjust the pressure at any point.

When not to book

  • Fever, infection or feeling unwell — reschedule.
  • Recent surgery, fracture or an acute injury under 72 hours old — see a doctor first.
  • Blood-thinning medication or a clotting disorder — tell me before we start; pressure is adjusted.
  • Unexplained, severe or worsening pain, numbness or weakness — that is a doctor first, massage second.

If in doubt, message me first — I would rather say no than treat something that needs a doctor.

Questions

Trigger point therapy in Paphos: common questions

What is a trigger point?
A tight, irritable band inside a muscle that hurts locally and often refers pain elsewhere — a knot in the upper trapezius that produces a headache behind the eye is the classic example.
Why does pressing the knot myself not fix it?
Self-pressure is usually too brief and at the wrong angle, and the muscle is not lengthened afterwards. In a session the point is held to release and the muscle is then restored to length, which is what stops it reforming.
Can trigger point work help headaches?
Tension-type headaches driven by neck and shoulder trigger points frequently ease with this work. Migraines and headaches with other symptoms need a doctor first.
How does it feel?
A deep, specific ache that often reproduces your familiar pain for a few seconds and then fades as the point releases. Pressure is adjusted to what you can breathe through.
